11 Steps To A Better You, By Winnie the Pooh

Besides being the cuddliest bear full of stuff and fluff that there is, Winnie the Pooh has taught us an absurd amount of lessons over the years. From friendship to manners and everything in between, Pooh Bear’s wisdom spans far beyond the reaches of the Hundred Acre Wood—and directly into our hearts.

Lesson #1: Always do your morning exercises.

Go up, down and touch the ground—exercise is the one sure thing to put you in the mood… for food. It also gets your blood flowing, relieves stress, and promotes better sleep.

Lesson #2: No matter how busy you may be, always remember to spend some time in your thotful spot.

Adventuring with friends is always a grand time, but never underestimate the power of a bit of Pooh, err, you time.

Lesson #3: Never take advantage of a dear friend’s hospitality. A small smackerel is not the same thing as a hefty helping.

Also, regardless of how yummy it is, always wash your hands after eating hunny.

Lesson #4: Life can be surprising. Don’t just expect the unexpected—embrace it.
Tigger
Resilience is key. Go with the flow and adapt to life’s pounces.

Lesson #5: Indulge in a bear nap every once in a while—it takes a lot of energy to be you.

Also, it’s sometimes very necessary.

Lesson #6: Life happens. Sometimes the best thing to do is take a deep breath and shrug it off with an “oh, bother.”
Bother
Don’t worry about things you can’t control, and instead focus on the things that you can.

Lesson #7: Spend time getting acquainted with nature.
Bees
Hunny has to come from somewhere, after all.

Lesson #8: Love everyone unconditionally. Make all creatures feel welcomed and wanted.

You never know how much it may mean to them.

Lesson #9: When in doubt, lunch.
Lunch
Lunch is a wonderful thing.

Lesson #10: Stay afloat by any means possible.

Life can be stressful at times, but a optimistic attitude and a carefree disposition can go a long way. Never give up, there’s always hunny waiting for you at the end of a long day.

Lesson #11: Never forget your friends.
Running
They’re all you have.

For a bear of very little brains, Pooh Bear certainly has a lot of insight into life’s sweet lessons—which one means the most to you?
